The scope management plan is a part of the project or program management plan. It explains how the scope will be outlined, built, tracked, managed, and checked. The first step in making the scope management plan and the project scope is to look at the information in the project charter, the most recent approved subsidiary plans of the project management plan, the historical information in the organizational process assets, and any other factors that are important to the business.
