Equipment Manufacturer Markings and Labels

Many of the codes requirements apply to markings or labels provided by the equipment manufacturer, such as electrical requirements for motors and appliances, or the ratings of devices such as switches and circuit breakers. Other equipment that is required to carry markings or labels can include motor control centers. switchboards. switchgear. And panelboards. Distribution equipment. such as switchboards. switchgear, and panelboards, may be required to have warning labels applied in addition to any required manufacturer’s markings.
